Vera Ad from Vogue 1967

Vera Ad from Vogue 1967

This mod and colorful Vera ad comes from my collection of Vogue magazines, May 1967. "A Hooray is the unique way Vera sees sunshine". I just love the peppy copy. Perfect for Vera's poppy shifts. You don't hear the word "shift" much these days but it is basically a short, sleeveless, straight cut dress suitable for most body types because it doesn't cinch at the waist or hug the body. Whatever they are called, I just love the pattern and color on them! A reproduction of this same ad can be found in Vera: The Art and Life of An Icon.
