Vera Scarves in Cool Colors

Vera Scarves in Cool Colors

With Vera's vintage designs numbering in the thousands, chances are good that you won't come across the same scarf twice. In all my years of scarf-hunting I never have. (I have come across the same

design

but in a different color way. See sundial design below in blue/tan/chartreuse and the tan/terra cotta/black version in the warm-toned scarves above.) The first thing I do when I see a scarf, whether at an estate sale or thrift store, is to look for the ladybug and the Vera signature. But after a while, I've gotten pretty good at knowing at first sight whether it's a Vera or not. Sometimes I'm delightfully surprised: I think it's NOT a Vera and it is. Especially with the older designs that don't bear her trademark sumi brush painting. Either way, it's always fun to discover a new Vera design! Below are some Vera's from my collection, from cool blue to purple. Enjoy!
